As we discussed in the May & September 2010 editions of LG "Debits & Credits", the Victorian Auditor General's Office has recently finished conducting a performance review into The Setting of Fees & Charges by Local Government in Victoria which can be downloaded from:

As well, the UK Audit Commission did a similar review of UK Councils back in 1999 called "The Price is Right - Setting Fees & Charges in Local Government" which is available here:

LG Solutions has been on it's "soap box" since 2007 on how Councils set their Fees & Charges via our newsletter, LG "Debits & Credits".

LG Solutions has raised the issue of NSW Councils & how they set their discretionary Fees & Charges in the January 2007 & December 2009 editions of LG "Debits & Credits".
